How to Delete All Screenshots on iPhone at Once
Screenshots are the easiest clutter to clear. You almost never need them again, and iOS keeps them in their own album, so you can remove them without scrolling past your real photos.
Find your screenshots
- Open Photos.
- Tap Collections, scroll to Media Types and tap Screenshots.
Everything in this album is a screenshot. Photos you took with the camera are not here.
Delete them in bulk
- Tap Select in the top right.
- If you see Select All, tap it. Otherwise, tap the first screenshot and drag your finger across and down to select whole rows at once.
- Tap a screenshot again to unselect anything you want to keep, like a receipt or a boarding pass you still need.
- Tap the trash icon and confirm.
Don't forget Recently Deleted
Deleted screenshots stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days. To get the space back now, go to Collections > Utilities > Recently Deleted, tap Select, then Delete All.
Screen recordings take far more space
Screen recordings are videos, so one recording can weigh more than hundreds of screenshots. Find them under Collections > Media Types > Screen Recordings and delete the ones you don't need.
Stop the pile from growing
- After you take a screenshot, the thumbnail appears in the bottom left corner. Tap it, then tap Done and choose Delete Screenshot if you only needed it for a moment.
- Use Copy and Delete from the same menu when you just want to paste it somewhere.
Spareroll shows all your screenshots in one grid with their total size, so you can see how much space they take before you decide.
Clear space without a subscription trap
